Collector’s Selection 2024

Thursday January 25th, 2024

As in previous years, the 2024 Collector’s Selection will continue to represent high quality and exclusivity, but this does not mean that it is exclusively for collectors. Rather, it is a matter of personal choice, as we have selected only those works that are important to us and that would be worthy of being included in any prestigious collection.

Our exhibition will be divided into three different sections of works:
In the first, we present foreign and domestic graphic rarities not yet included in the domestic art trade: Karel Appel, Fernandez Arman, Max Bill, Corneille, Sandro Chia, Maurice Estève, Luis Feito, François Fiedler, Hans Hartung, André Lanskoy, Antoni Tàpies, Günther Uecker, Wolf Vostell, etc. That is, the abstract artists of the second half of the 20th century that regularly made lithographs, serigraphs, and engravings. However, these have not been sold in Hungary until now. It is important for the Hungarian public to become familiar with them, as knowledge of the international context is essential for the interpretation and positioning of Hungarian works.

The second section presents works by contemporary artists who can already be considered classics. These include paintings by János Aknay, Imre Bak, Márton Barabás, Zsófi Barabás, László feLugossy, Péter Földi, István Haász, Tamás Hencze, Gábor Kerekes, Károly Klimó, Tamás Lossonczy, László Mulasics, Árpád Szabados, Dávid Szentgróti, József Szurcsik and András Wahorn.

In our third section, we present an outstanding, curated work by each of the artists represented by the Resident Art gallery. You will find works by Ákos Bánki, Barnabás Benkő, András Braun, Endre Hortobágyi, Konrád Kaszás, Attila Kondor, Panni Marosi, Enikő Márton, Sándor Molnár, Stefan Osnowski, Eszter Ronga, Attila Stark, Barbara Szlávik, Andrea Csekő, Gyula Valkó and Ágnes Verebics.
